Highlights: Arriver to Paro and drive cross country and exit from most eastern part of Bhutan. Continue extended tour to Kazaranga National park, the world heritage site, They have large number of Rhino and Asian elephants, Bengal Tiger, Golden langur, Gibbons – critically endangered spices. Bird species such as: Globally threatened: White-bellied Heron, Pallas Fish Eagle, Rufous necked Hornbill, Beautiful nuthatch, Wards Trogon.

Day1. Fly into Paro: Upon arrival you will be met by your guide and transferred to the hotel at Paro. After lunch visit museum, Rimpung Dzong, birding by river side, Overnight at hotel. Alt: 2235m/7330ft.
Day2. Paro to Thimphu: Early morning drive to Cheleyla Pass to spot for Blood pheasant, Himalayan Monal, Kalij Pheasant and more… After breakfast hike to Taksang “Tigers nest” evening drive to Thimphu for overnight. Alt: 2320m/7609ft.
Day3. Thimphu sightseeing: Visit Big Buddha, Takin preserve, Arts &craft school, day hikes to upper valley and walk by river side birding. Overnight at hotel. Alt: 2320m/7609ft.
Day4. Thimphu to Punakha. 3hr/77km. Drive to Dochula pass, Alt. 10142 ft, hike on nature trail for one hour downhill and overnight at hotel, Alt: 1350m/4428ft.
Day5. Birding at Punakha valley: Very early 4:30am drive to spot white-bellied Heron at PhoChu, one of the of the rare and globally threatened, we will birding most of the day. Overnight at Punakha Hotel. Alt: 1350m/4428ft.
Day6. Punakha to Phubjikha: 6hr /145 km. Drive to the central valleys of Bhutan. We than climb steadily passing through semi-tropical vegetation and up to Lawala pass dropping down to Phubjikha valley, the winter home of Black neck Crane, Alt: 2900m/9512ft.
Day7. Phubjikha to Trongs: 5hr/120km. Drive to Trongsa through Pele la Pass at 11046 ft. you enter Trongsa valley, you will take nature trail and birding to reach Trongsa Dzong, Over night at hotel in Trongsa. Alt: 7041 ft.
Day8. Trongsa to Bumthang: Beautiful drive and birding on the way back to Trongsa through Yotong La Pass. Continue your drive further to Chokhor valley, over night at hotel .
Day9. Bumthang – Sengkor Camp: – In the morning you will visit few sacred temples date back from 7th century. On the drive you may spot Satyr Tragopan, Blood Pheasant, Himalayan Monal and several species of rhododendrons and alpine flowers. Drive over Thrumsingla Pass, Alt: 12 250ft Overnight at Sengkor camp.
Day10. Sengkor to Yongkola / Camp: – Drive to. You may encounter Red panda. Continue your drive crossing Namling waterfall and into the rich Semi-tropical rainforest. There will be birding along the road to Yongkala. Over night at beautiful Campsite Alt:5491ft.
Day11. Yongkola to Mongar. 2hr/65 km: Today spend most of the day walking and birding along the road. Here you can look for some of Bhutan’s most prized species such as the Collared Treepie, Rufous-nacked Hornbill, Slender Scimitar Babbler, White-naped Yuhina and the Blue fronted Robin. Overnight at hotel, Alt:5168 ft.
Day12. Mongar to Khaling: 5hr / 156km: Drive to Korila Pass, where there is an array of prayer flags and a mani wall. Spend few hours birding on the way to Tashigang, continuing your drive for another 53km to reach Khaling you have to drive through Sherabtse collage and Younphula army camp hidden on a ridge. Overnight at Khaling / Camp.
Day13. Khaling to Samdrupjongkhar: 5 hr /126 km. Leaving Khaling, very good birding area, you may spot rare species like, Beautiful-Nuthatch, Wards Trogon and Wreathed Hornbill and more… overnight at SamdrupJongkhar, Alt: 450m/1476ft.
Day14. Samdrup Jongkhar – Guwhati – Kaziranga National Park: Drive 7 hours along Assam’s plains through the colorful city of Guwhati to Kaziranga National Park, the home of over 1500 one horned rhinoceros and other rare species of wildlife. Overnight at Wild grass Resort.
Day15. Kaziranga – (Elephant ride / Jeep safari): Start at 4:45am for elephant safari. In the afternoon, enjoy Jeep safari towards riverside. You may spot river dolphins and other wild life. Overnight at Wild grass Resort.
Day16. Kaziranga National Park – Guwahati airport: Today we will make the 4 hour drive back to Guhawati. We will then precede to the airport for onwards destination.
